The Langley Collection

About the Langley Collection

The Langley Collection offers fine and rare period furniture, with an emphasis on four poster beds from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century. Items for the collection are selected on the basis of exceptional design, rarity, proportion and provenance.

The collection includes pieces attributed to important eighteenth century makers like Giles Grendey and Benjamin Goodison.

We are fortunate to include an important discovery in English furniture; the earliest extant royal state bed, "The First State Bed", made October 1485 - January 1486, for the marriage of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York.

We work with private collectors, interior designers and museums, and pride ourselves on a high level of customer service, based on three decades of experience and research.
